Despair

The dreaded cycle of sadness,
Spun elegantly as a web,
Designed to keep prey turning,
Till they plummet into despair,
Then the jaws will come;
Yes to the victims's dismay,
To suck the living force of life out,
And continue on its way.

Here is the meaning behind the riddle:
The world is a spider, and you are the fly. Watch carefully and take head before you too are ensnared.
