December's Lullaby

Silver petals

Winds that sigh

A candle glows in the darkest night

Somewhere far in the mountains,

December sings its lullaby.

Smiles of warmth and friendship bloom,

Horses lead sleigh rides like shadows of noon,

Winter nymphs dancing gracefully,

Across the minds of youth.

Cheers and mugs of cider meet,

Couples gaze at one another merrily,

Music springs round’ like a bird set free,

Hear the children now sing:

“Thank you God for our daily bread,

Thank thee Father for thy loving hand,

We our blessed abundantly;

Never in hunger or need”

Then in the darkness the village sings:

“December sings its lullaby”

Passing Time Away in a Library

As I type to heart’s delight,

Eyes watch the ticking clock tick,

Waiting for the hand to strike the four;

Anticipating my next class at twenty past twelve,

I write without a moment’s glance,

For the clock knows when to raise me best,

My eyes need not gaze upon the cold Black Hand:

The ticking sounds with a rhythmic rhyme.

A Poet in a College Library

I sit in a college library,

A library of southern heritage,

Though my heart is quiet to content,

My mind strays evermore through the slides of moments,

My eyes captivate people; both known and unknown to me,

Taking note of dress and culture;

These eyes study what their hearts express:

Some are reading quietly,

Some are chatting busily,

Some have come and gone,

Some are turning in due objects,

Some are misbehaving on the sites;

Others flirting with seductive eyes,

Some are working with subjects that confound,

I meanwhile write what is seen around.

True Desire

Burning like an inferno
Consuming my Hero,
My Flames enwrap him;
As heart races harder
Is this affection,
or impulsive reaction?
Aching all over,
My body is screaming louder!

Gone, Gone, Crazy and Gone,
I'm like a girl falling head long!
Gone, Gone, Crazy and Gone,
My heart is smoldered by your love!

Midnight is laying, tossing and turning;
Waiting, dreaming, sighing and hurting,
Day after day I'm driven insane,
This hunger is torturing;
All consuming.

Gone, Gone, Crazy and Gone,
I'm like a girl falling head long!
Gone, Gone, Crazy and Gone,
My heart is smoldered by your love!

One Month After the Break Up

Can you see me?
Do you remember?
Am I a lovely phantom drifting by;
Fading slowly from your mind?
Was our love like an meber dimly glowing,
Or were you simply using me from the beginning?
When I saw you my heart overflowed with joy,
My heart became a fountain;
I poured unto you my soul,
The Chemical Romance started pleasantly,
For we had no cares being at ease,
Then something led you astray,
You shunned your heart from me,
Though I pleaded to heal your wounds,
You shook thy head and cast me aside;
Leaving me all alone in the dark:
One year has passed,
I walk slowly in all the familiar places,
Trying hard to keep the tears back,
Hopeful is my heart to see you,
And perhaps in the end;
Kindle our hearts anew,
Yet it wasn't meant to be,
For yonder on I did hear,
Two voices familiar echoe in my bones,
I ran to see and found,
The once lover entreating another;
A friend whom I trusted beyond words,
Now was she kissing my love's brow.

No scholar, nor writer can tell how I felt,
A rush of horror, anguish; Betrayel,
I fled knowing not the persuer,
For Inkanto had seen those eyes filled with the deepest hurt,
And attempted to comfort me,
NO!
I said running blind with agony,
Never shall his hands hold mine,
Nevermore shall I seek the light,
Nay it has left me,
I have no joy,
Only misery and sorrow,
Leave me once lover,
Leave me like my Other,
I shall not curse you,
But I will not look upon you,
For you promised to never leave me,
You said "It will always be"
You have broken the bonds of trust,
Now you will see the consequence of unfaithful love,
May my heart grow colder,
And may it be on fire;
Like a falcon in the dive.

Day Dreaming

O' moonlit night,
O' starry sky,
I'm floating and dancing in the air,
I'm dazzled by your diamond eyes,
The wind feeds my adventurous heart,
So now I fall to Earth smiling;
Spreading my arms out gliding.

I lay upon a bed of grass,
I sniff the blooming buds and relax,
The fruit I eat is cool and juicy-sweet;
I gaze at the universe drifting into sleep.

When I soar into dreams,
I'm swept with ease,
Like the trees when they sway,
Then I wake by a warming Sun,
Realizing another day has begun,
What a joy it all is to me;
To love with carefree chivalry.

Love's Awakening

Swing with me,
Soar with me;
I know you want to dance,
So take my hand as a chance,
Then we shall fly,
To Heaven or beyond;
Let those dreams become alive!
O' lover of mine,
Cast away tears away and fly,
Awaken your love,
Then we shall forever be fire;
Don't listen to what they say,
The people who claim,
That love's only a game;
Just awaken your love!
I see your eyes,
How they shine,
They seem undecided,
But simply trust me,
And you shall see;
Baby you were made for me!
Swing with me,
Soar with me;
I know you want to dance,
So take my hand as a chance,
Then we shall fly,
To Heaven or beyond;
Let those dreams become alive!

The Maid of Three Lovers

Have you seen a maiden,
A maiden with hair of gold?
She once came fronting past;
Her eyes peircing with love,
but oh how she became,
A wretched being upon the shore,
As she waits for a larger wave,
To carry away forevermore:

Till then she cries
"Love!"
"What a misery it is to me"
"Love!"
"How it blown so many casualties"

I gazed at her yearningly;
Wondering why she did wait,
Why she veiled her pale face,
Till the Moon became awake.

Every night I heard her sing;
A sirene's sad symphony,
It told of a lover's tale;
Of three men who came.

"I once met a fellow,
Of noble blood they say,
He was gentle,
He was kind,
He loved me everyway,
But this man led me to a path;
A Virgin dare not take,
So adeau did I say,
Hearing his tears each step along the way."

Then I heard the maiden sing:

"Woe, Woe! Woe unto me!
I fell for a cunning man;
More fitting for a snake,
He kissed me,
He held me,
And Sweetly called me his everything
Yet still I wasn't enough;
For he loved another girl,
Who left him a year ago,
Twas my burden to let him go,
Thus bittering this innocent heart so!"

Then I saw the maiden became anguished and saw tears everflow,
for the last lover, she said, was more dear to her then gold:

"Gone, gone, gone;
Far away from me,
Does my true lover dwell today;
Sending a cloud of tears to my memories:
He was my guardian,
He was my knight,
He was my dawn of the day;
How I miss his gentle voice,
Which spoke such tender love to me!"

Then as she finished, did I see, her stand facing the waves, and then did she return to me the sadest smile ever seen. A shudder crossed my soul, immediately I gave flight; for this gentle creature of the rose, was leaving the world of life. I stumbled, I fell, I urged myself to her with god-like might, but I did indeed see the last of her, gentle dip into the dark pool of suicide.

The Elements

Wind is soft,
Earth is hard,
Fire is wrath,
Water is calm.

Wind is a Tornado,
Earth is an Earthquake,
Fire is a Volcanoe,
Water is a Tsunami.

Wind is air,
Earth is soil,
Fire is heat,
Water is liquid.

Wind is adventurous,
Earth is confined,
Fire is wrathful,
Water is sublime.

Wind sweeps the Earth,
Earth stores up Fire,
Fire cleans up waste,
Water washes Fire.

Wind cools you off,
Earth provides food,
Fire warms you up,
Water ensures life.

The White Wolf

Shining pools; They tell stories of long ago,
Looking and Watching a cruel world with vengeance,
Eyes that whisper cries in silent bitterness;
Eyes that claim a thousand hurts.

Fur streaked with a fiery white flame,
Soft as a Mockingbird; wavy like grass:
Glazed to reflect the Moon's eternal beauty and passion.

Claws set to clutch life's last breath,
Canines sharpened to taste blood,
Body molded sleek as a shadow fiend,
A tail spun to entice with love,
Lips stained in luscious black,
A mind set savage with cunning wisdom,
A temper slow to please and easy to anger,
A nature to respect natural law:
The white wolf is of all.
